What is “jail credit”?

When may I visit a prisoner?

Visitation generally occurs from 8pm-9pm, 7 days a week, but is subject to cancellation, without notice, by the jail staff.

Visitation requirements are:

  • Visitation is limited to 15 minutes with a maximum of 2 people allowed per visit, per inmate.
  • Visitors must be appropriately dressed, be at least 18 years of age, present a valid driver’s license or state issued identification card and have no outstanding arrest warrants.
  • Children under the age of 17 may not visit an inmate and children must not be left unattended in the jail lobby or in a vehicle while a parent visits an inmate.
  • All visitors may be searched prior to entering the visitation room.  Visitors are encouraged to call (817) 743-4770 to verify approval.

What items may I bring a prisoner?

Personal items of convenience and money may not be contributed to the prisoner’s property.  Prisoner prescription medication will be accepted and dispensed in the prescribed manner.

May a prisoner make free phone calls?

Prisoners are allowed to place one free 2 minute telephone call after the booking process has been completed.  A prisoner also has the opportunity to make collect phone calls from inside cell blocks.

How to receive a collect call from an inmate?

To receive a collect call from an inmate, please call GTL Advance Pay at 1-800-483-8314 or visit their website at www.connectnetwork.com to set up your collect call account or to learn more.  This will allow the inmate to call you on your landline or cell phone from GTL phones provided within our facility.

How may I get a prisoner’s property?

Prisoner property can only be released after the prisoner grants written permission authorizing the release.

To claim prisoner property, it is necessary to:

  • Complete a property release form (which the jail stall will complete upon release)
  • Present a driver’s license or a state issued identification card.
